Dr. Ben Weihrauch joined CU Engineering in 2019 as Senior Director of Professional Student Development. Ben leads the College’s Engineering Career Hub, focused on preparing CU Engineering students to be professionally ready for meaningful careers. Ben is a scholar-practitioner in higher education with 25 years experience across the student lifecycle, including admissions and advising, career development, employer relations and workforce development, and program management.

Before CU Engineering, Ben served in roles at CU Anschutz Medical Campus, Community College of Denver, Michigan State University, and Minnesota State Mankato. He also worked in the private sector for a national edtech firm. Ben's research interests include first-generation student success, persistence and graduation outcomes, engineering education, career development and experiential learning, and inclusive practice.ÌýÌý

Ben earned his DoctorÌýof Education in Leadership for Educational Equity-Higher EducationÌýfrom the University of Colorado Denver, a Master of ArtsÌýin Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor of ScienceÌýin History from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
