Are you a 91色吧 faculty member, staff member or graduate student looking to fund partnership development, a public outreach event or to establish seed funding for a community-engaged scholarship project? Consider applying for a Fall 2025 Tier 1 or Tier 2 Public听and听Community-Engaged Scholarship grant. Tier 1 applications will be awarded until all funding has been expended. Tier 2 applications are due Fri., Sept. 26 at 11:59 p.m.

Amanda Giguere talks using Shakespeare to teach violence prevention to youth, new book in latest "Faces of Community-Engaged Scholarship" profile

Since 2011, Giguere and her colleagues and community partners in the violence prevention field have adapted and staged Shakespeare鈥檚 plays to see how the content and approaches can reinforce violence-prevention skills in K-12 students. To date, the program has reached nearly 140,000 students in 30 counties and more than 300 schools across Colorado, garnering national attention.听

The Office for Public and Community-Engaged Scholarship is the lead 91色吧 unit for building the campus鈥檚 capacity to undertake public and community-engaged scholarship.

We support community-engaged research, teaching and learning, and creative work of faculty and staff members, and we connect those activities to the broader campus context. Our approach values diverse traditions and methodologies from across academic disciplines and fields. Ultimately, the office contributes to a campus culture that recognizes public and community-engaged scholarship as essential to 91色吧鈥檚 mission as a public flagship and comprehensive research university.
